Crypto Super PAC Fairshake Pours Millions More Into Defeating Sherrod Brown
Fairshake’s Republican-aligned affiliate disclosed $5.2 million in media spending opposing Ohio Sen. Sherrod Brown, followed by another roughly $1.95 million and production costs. The filing puts Fairshake’s year-to-date spending against Brown at about $46.66 million, making the Ohio race its biggest target in the 2026 campaign and exceeding its earlier $30 million pledge. The PAC is also spending to support Republican Jon Husted. Fairshake has expanded to House races, pledging an initial $6 million for six of 32 endorsed incumbents who voted to advance the Clarity Act. Backed largely by Coinbase, Ripple and Andreessen Horowitz, the group had about $120 million in cash entering September and is expected to spend over $100 million this cycle as it seeks to influence lawmakers shaping crypto regulation.
