Elon Musk's X Money App Nears Public Launch, No Sign of Dogecoin
Elon Musk’s financial app, X Money, will launch early public access in April. The platform enables direct deposits, payments, and yield earning, aiming to compete with services like Venmo and Cash App. Early promotion included public figures such as William Shatner, who is auctioning beta access for charity donations. Users who donate $1,000 to Shatner’s charity gain early use of the platform. While speculation exists about cryptocurrency integration, especially Dogecoin due to Musk’s history, no crypto features are present yet. X Money has secured over 40 money transmitter licenses nationwide and unveiled Visa as a partner for instant account funding. Recent X features also allow trading and analysis of stocks and digital assets, but X does not act as a brokerage or execute trades for users.
