Everyone Needs a Manifesto
Ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin has published a blog post wherein he introduces a new philosophy called "d/acc" or decentralization, defensive, and/or differential accelerationism. This came in response to Marc Andreessen's techno-optimistic manifesto, which argues that technology is a lever on the world and should be unrestricted. Contrarily, Buterin advocates for a balanced path in technological development, focusing on humanistic and decentralized technologies. He states that although technology has led to human progress, its advancement is not always linear and some technologies can have negative effects. Buterin also calls for more collaboration and intentional steering of tech, in contrast to Andreessen's ideology of technological evolution being a result of human ingenuity.
