Hackers Drain $8 Million From Crypto Exchange Across Two Blockchains
Summary
Coinsbuy lost over $8 million in a multi-chain attack on Tron and Ethereum. The theft started with a small Tron test transfer, then drained more than 6 million USDT from eight Tron wallets and 1.89 million USDT plus 77 ETH from three Ethereum wallets. BlockWatchdog linked the activity across chains through Bridgers and said about $6.34 million was routed through FixedFloat, with another 150 ETH sent via ChangeNOW. Roughly 282.2 ETH remained untouched. Coinsbuy later refilled the affected wallets with about $3.93 million, suggesting the private keys may not have been stolen and that the withdrawal system itself may have been compromised. The attack remains unattributed, with no overlap to a prior July hack.
