HYPE jumps 20% as Trump signals legal US path for Hyperliquid
Hyperliquid’s HYPE token rose more than 20% in 24 hours after President Trump said regulators were working on a compliant way to bring Hyperliquid to U.S. users. HYPE traded near $62 before the remarks, briefly hit $72.28, and later settled around $70, with volume of about $1.4 billion. The price move suggests U.S. access could significantly revalue HYPE and related public companies, but no formal CFTC or Hyperliquid proposal has been announced. Separately, Hyperliquid Strategies, a Nasdaq-listed HYPE treasury company trading as PURR, jumped 30.4%. A large purchase of October $8 call options drew attention after about $65,000 was spent on 719 contracts, which later showed a large paper gain. Trading data confirmed unusually heavy volume, but there is no clear evidence of insider trading.
