MiCA list expands with 12 companies in fourth post-deadline update
Summary
ESMA’s July 31 update to its MiCA register added 12 crypto-asset service providers, bringing the total authorized CASPs to 321 since the July 1 transitional deadline. New entries include three German cooperative banks, two firms in Spain, and four in France. ESMA also added three entities to its non-compliant register, flagged by Italy’s CONSOB, raising that list to 167. No other MiCA-related registers changed: authorized e-money token issuers remain at 41, and there are still no listed asset-referenced token issuers.
