Visa Widens Stablecoin Payouts via Zerohash Rails
Visa is expanding stablecoin payments through a new integration with Zerohash on Visa Direct. Eligible clients can prefund accounts with stablecoins and send payouts in stablecoins, rather than only through traditional bank rails. The setup lets businesses manage liquidity outside banking hours and gives recipients the option to receive stablecoin payouts directly. Zerohash provides crypto infrastructure for financial institutions and has been growing its regulated custody and settlement business. The move adds to Visa’s broader push into stablecoins, following an earlier pilot with BVNK and the July launch of Visa’s Stablecoin Platform for banks and fintechs. Visa says stablecoins can make cross-border money movement faster, more flexible, and easier to integrate with existing financial systems.
