Ripple targets trillion-dollar securities markets with new US brokerage and South Korean deals
Ripple announced two partnerships to expand its institutional services. DriveWealth plans to integrate RLUSD on the XRP Ledger for European settlement, alongside Ripple Payments and custody services, with possible expansion into the US. The firms aim to enable near-real-time stablecoin funding and collateral management, but gave no timeline, volume targets or financial terms. In South Korea, Meritz Securities will explore Ripple’s custody and tokenization infrastructure and potential products including fractional investments and security tokens; no launches are committed. The agreements extend Ripple’s reach into brokerage and securities markets as South Korea prepares a tokenized-securities framework, whose first phase is scheduled for February 2027.
