Securitize stock jumps over 10% after launching tokenized US equities on Solana
Securitize launched tokenized versions of 12 major US-listed stocks on Solana, including Apple, Nvidia, Microsoft and Tesla. Each token is backed one-for-one by shares and is designed to preserve dividend and voting rights. Initially, eligible investors can trade through Securitize’s registered broker-dealer during extended market hours; the company plans to move toward 24/7 trading. Tokens settle in USDC, with Jump Trading providing liquidity. Securitize says Ripple Prime will support the launch and explore institutional use, while Aave is a potential venue for using the tokens as loan collateral. The company also plans possible distribution through platforms under development by the NYSE and OKX, with no launch dates announced. Securitize shares rose about 10% Thursday and have gained roughly 54% in the past month.
