Stablecoin payments firm dtcpay closes $25M round with SBI backing

Summary

Singapore-based stablecoin payments firm Dtcpay closed a $25 million Series A after support from SBI Group. The round started with a $10 million tranche led by Vertex Ventures Southeast Asia & India in April, with Genedant Capital and existing investor Kwee Liong Tek also participating. SBI invested through two Singapore-based vehicles, but the amount and valuation were not disclosed. Dtcpay builds payment infrastructure for businesses and individuals to accept, store, and spend stablecoins and fiat. Its products include real-time stablecoin-to-fiat conversion, merchant payment terminals, and a Visa card for stablecoin spending. It holds a Major Payment Institution license in Singapore and an Electronic Money Institution license in Luxembourg. The new capital will fund merchant network expansion and product upgrades, including a new business portal and consumer features. SBI said the investment supports efforts to create a digital asset corridor between Japan and Southeast Asia.
