Trump reveals up to $100K Strategy stock purchase in ethics filing
Trump disclosed buying $50,001 to $100,000 of Strategy shares on July 27, after a smaller purchase three days earlier. Strategy is the largest public corporate Bitcoin holder, and the July buy was his biggest crypto-linked stock transaction in the filing. He also reported a Coinbase purchase and sales of MARA Holdings and CleanSpark shares in July. The filing shows broader portfolio activity, including sales of $5 million to $25 million each of Microsoft and Amazon on July 20, plus other trades in the $1 million to $5 million range. The White House said Trump’s stock and bond holdings are managed independently by third parties. The disclosure came as his administration continues pushing crypto-friendly policy. Regulators have advanced tokenized-stock and derivatives-related changes, and the House committee has moved legislation to codify a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve.
