XRP Ledger’s booming activity faces scrutiny as 110 bot wallets dominate RLUSD payments
Bitquery found that 110 wallets generated 99.6% of RLUSD payments on the XRP Ledger over 30 days, making 7.79 million transfers totaling just $7,722. The automated activity heavily inflated transaction counts and was inexpensive to run; it began dropping sharply on Oct. 14 and had largely stopped by Oct. 17. Bitquery could not identify who controlled the wallets or link their shutdown to Cross River Bank’s RLUSD integration announcement. Beneath the automated transfers, high-value activity was also concentrated: a small number of wallets accounted for most large-payment volume, while issuer minting and redemptions contributed substantially. The data suggests current RLUSD activity is dominated by automated transfers and concentrated settlement, rather than broad independent business use.
