Coinbase to expand Singapore office headcount by 25%: report
Coinbase plans to expand its Singapore presence and increase local headcount from 150 to about 200 by the end of 2026. The new Singapore office at One Raffles Quay is expected to hire more engineers, customer service staff, relationship managers, and institutional sales representatives. Coinbase’s country director for Singapore said the city-state is becoming a strategic hub for crypto innovation. The company received a major payment institution license from Singapore’s Monetary Authority in October 2023, allowing it to serve both individuals and institutions in the market. Singapore regulates digital payment token providers through the MAS, and the central bank has tightened licensing requirements in 2025, forcing unlicensed firms to exit.
