Gal Gadot Defends AI Use in Bitcoin Film: 'Work With It or Be Out of the Game'
Gal Gadot said she is wary of AI but chose to work in the AI-assisted thriller *Bitcoin: Killing Satoshi* rather than avoid it. She said her lawyers spent six months negotiating contract protections to ensure AI would not be used on her performance; the film’s AI was limited to sets and lighting, and her acting was “all me.” Her legal team’s work was so extensive that SAG reportedly asked for pointers to update its own actor protections. The $70 million film, directed by Doug Liman and co-starring Casey Affleck, Pete Davidson, and Isla Fisher, was shot entirely inside a gray-screen warehouse rather than on location. Sets and lighting were generated afterward, cutting what was estimated to be a $300 million conventional budget by more than $200 million. Gadot likened the process to theater and said she has not yet seen any footage.
