MEXC adds Bittensor TAO staking for its global user base
MEXC has added staking support for Bittensor’s TAO token, letting users earn rewards by staking into the decentralized AI network. Bittensor validator Yuma said MEXC integrated its validator infrastructure to support TAO staking for its reported 40 million users. Yuma helps Bittensor’s consensus by evaluating subnet performance and assigning weights that influence reward distribution. The integration is meant to broaden access to Bittensor and increase participation in the network. Bittensor uses subnets for specialized AI tasks such as inference, training, coding assistance, and financial modeling, with 128 subnets currently active. TAO holders stake to validators, who allocate stake across subnets and earn rewards based on those allocations. At the time cited, TAO traded near $199 with a market value of about $1.916 billion.
