Kraken adds S&P 500 to funded trading program, commodities to follow

Summary

Kraken added an S&P 500 perpetual to its proprietary trading program, giving funded traders 24/7 exposure to the US equity benchmark. The product is based on an index oracle that tracks the S&P 500, so it does not expire like a standard futures contract and does not require rollover. It is now the second traditional market in Kraken Prop after the Nasdaq 100, with commodities planned next. Traders can access the S&P 500 in evaluation and funded accounts with up to 5x leverage and a maximum notional exposure of $1 million. Kraken Prop lets users buy an evaluation plan starting at $20 and, if they qualify, trade with Kraken capital in funded accounts ranging from $5,000 to $200,000. The launch fits Kraken’s broader push into traditional financial products.
