BNB Chain Plans New Layer-1 for AI Agents and Quantum Future
BNB Chain plans a new layer-1 blockchain designed for AI agents, high-frequency trading, and automated payments, running alongside its existing chain. The roadmap targets a testnet by end of 2026 and mainnet in early 2027. The network aims to exceed 100,000 transactions per second, confirm transactions in under 50 milliseconds, and finalize blocks in under one second by processing transactions in parallel and improving data handling. A key feature, TxStream, removes the public mempool and sends transactions directly to block leaders to cut latency and reduce front-running. BNB Chain also says it is researching quantum-resistant security, including account abstraction so users can adopt safer protection without changing wallet addresses. The move comes amid broader industry efforts to build infrastructure for AI agents that can hold funds, pay for services, and trade autonomously.
